Implementation Materials
The WebAbacus implementation process is designed to make the journey towards data driven decision making as easy as possible. During the implementation phases we will send you relevant documentation at the appropriate time. However, if you want to get a head start, then please free to download the following documents:
- WebAbacus Tagging Implementation Guide
- This guide explains how to implement the WebAbacus tag code. Please note that you will receive a pre-configured version of the WebAbacus tag code for your web site, and that you should only make changes to the code if instructed to do so by a WebAbacus consultant.

'How to...' guides & User Manuals
WebAbacus consultants can implement reports to meet your specific requirements. Once you have received WebAbacus training, you may wish to create new reports yourself. Below are a series of guides with step-by-step instructions on how to create or implement common reporting requirements:
- WebAbacus Interface Overview
- This guide gives a quick overview of the WebAbacus interface and explains common functions such as: date range selection, searching, and dynamic data segmentation using the Single-Click(tm) inteface.
- Download WebAbacus Interface Overview.pdf (PDF ~883KB)
- Basic report creation
- This guide explains how to create a new report from scratch, including the ability to report on data derived from basic transforms. For example, grouping a series of URLs together into Site Area groupings
- Download New_report_with_Transform.pdf (PDF ~442KB)
- Visit Scoring
- This guide explains how to implement a basic visit scoring technique. Key actions or events are given a score based on their significance to you as an organisation. Visits are then scored based on the actions completed during the visit. For example, the home page may have a score of 5 points, the search results page a score of 10 points, the registration completion page a score of 20 points, and all other pages have a score of zero points. A visit that included all of these actions would therefore score 35 points, whereas a visit that only included the home page would score only 5 points.
